There are 320 hectares of vineyards classified under this appellation. Four different grape varieties are used: Gamay, Cabernet franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pineau d'Aunis. A maximum yield of 60 hectolitres per hectar is allowed.

Tasting notes
A deep ruby robe. Smoky black fruits and spices on the nose. A generous structure and a fruity mouth. Flavours of licorice, black berries and dried fruit with soft, sliky tannins.
